Our mission at North Harbor is to lead people toward a growing relationship with Jesus and we believe this is best accomplished in community. We invite you to become a part of our community and hope that with us, you would find a place to call home.  Joining one of our ministry teams helps to develop a sense of comradery with other North Harbor regulars and create a strong sense of belonging.  Our various ministry teams include all the teams we rely on for our Sunday services.

North Harbor would not exist without the many volunteers who help to make our vision a reality.  Take a look at our various ministry teams to see which might be a good fit for you.  If you are interested in serving with one of the following teams, please let the office know by emailing office@northharbor.org or by calling 319-7065.

WELCOME Team:

Our Welcome team is responsible for welcoming our Sunday morning guests which involves preparing the coffee/tea service and communion and greeting attendees as they arrive. Welcome team volunteers arrive by 9am to prepare the lobby for Sunday morning, greet guests from 9:45-10:15, attend the service and then connect with the NH community and hang out until 11:30 to clean up. They are scheduled 1-2 times per month.

Music Team:

Our music team is comprised of individuals who offer either their musical or vocal talents during the Sunday morning services and other special events. They are usually scheduled 1-2 times per month and serve from 9am to noon on Sunday mornings.

Tech Team:

Our tech team is responsible for running our audio and video technologies during our Sunday morning services. Every Sunday there is both a computer tech and an audio tech scheduled to help set up and operate all the A/V equipment. Our tech teams typically arrive at 9am and are done by 12 noon and are on the schedule 1-2 times per month.

PRAYER TEAM:

Our prayer team sits in the back of the auditorium on Sunday mornings, praying quietly throughout the service and offering intercessory prayer to any in need before, during and after the service. This team lifts up all aspects of North Harbor: the pastor, the people in the service, children’s and teen’s ministries, etc....  It's amazing to see how God not only blesses our church, but the individuals in the church and those praying, through this team.

Kids' Cove:

Our Kids' Cove volunteers serve once or twice a month involving tasks specific to their role which can range from leading a small group of kids through activities and discussion, to helping with administration for kids’ ministry events and crafts, to telling the Big God Story from the Bible in a compelling way.  All Kids’ Cove volunteers must complete an application and background check and attend an orientation meeting in order to serve with children.

Floodgate:

Our Floodgate team serves as mentors, small group leaders and administrative coordinators for Jr. and Sr. High teens at the Harbor.  Much of the time spent with this team is spent outside of the regular Sunday morning service. All Floodgate volunteers must complete an application and background check and attend an orientation meeting in order to serve with students.
